Part of the appeal of living for a while in a travel trailer is the minimalist lifestyle. It’s something that is particularly appealing to Karen.

But in recent weeks, we’ve had to buy a lot of stuff to be able to be minimalist.

Or, at least, I have.

I’ve been a steady reader of the Happier Camper Owners Facebook page, and owners share a ton of information about what they’ve needed, what has gone wrong, and plenty of other tips.

I’ve been most concerned about security and safety. So I’ve done a bunch of looking and bought a hitch ball, a wheel chuck lock, and more. I’ve bought a power cord and a water hose and a jack and lug wrench in case I needed it.

I bought a paper road atlas, and a WiFi booster that I’m not sure works. We’ve bought a French press for morning coffee, and Turkish cotton towels.

We have piles and piles throughout the house, ready to load in the SUV and then drive to Prufrock.

And I’ve also got a lot of boxes to break down.

It’s a shame that it is taking so much stuff to spend time in such a little space?
